The practical answer
It can be relevant evidence of condition, but it does not reset the vehicle’s age or guarantee a higher accepted value.
Provide the repair invoice, warranty, mileage at replacement and current mileage, alongside the rest of the vehicle’s history. The lender assesses the complete asset, including chassis and body condition.
A repair bill is not necessarily reflected pound-for-pound in resale value. Propose a realistic term and disclose other defects rather than relying on one major replacement as proof of overall condition.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
