Built around the purchase

More reach.
Room to grow.

Adding a machine for a new contract? Replacing a well-used workhorse? Start with the telehandler your business needs.

We explore suitable lenders and agreement structures around the equipment, your company and the purchase timetable. New and used fixed or rotating telehandlers can be considered, including machines from JCB, Manitou and Merlo.

Finance is subject to status and lender approval. Rates, deposits, terms and guarantees depend on the business, asset and lender. DCF is a broker, not a lender.

01

New machines

Buying from a dealer

Share the specification, quotation and expected delivery date. If the supplier needs a deposit or staged payments, tell us before you commit.

02

Used telehandlers

Proven equipment. A fresh plan.

Age and hours are only part of the picture. Condition, value, seller and remaining working life all help determine the funding options.

Look at the whole package

List the forks, buckets and other equipment you want to include. We will check what the lender can consider as part of the purchase.

Two routes to consider

Own it. Or lease it.
Understand the commitment.

Compare the full agreement: upfront costs, monthly payments, fees and what happens at the end.

A route to ownership

Hire purchase

Spread the purchase price over an agreed repayment schedule. Ownership can pass to your company after all contractual payments and any option-to-purchase fee are paid.

  • Discuss the deposit and VAT due at the start.
  • Check fees and any final payment.
  • Consider how long you intend to keep the machine.
Use through agreed rentals

Finance lease

Use the telehandler while paying rentals. The finance provider retains ownership; end-of-term arrangements depend on the agreement.

  • Compare the initial rental and ongoing payments.
  • Understand the primary term and what follows it.
  • Ask your accountant about tax and accounting treatment.

Clear answers

Your telehandler
finance questions.

From the first deposit to a used machine bought at auction, here is what to discuss before proceeding.

Can I finance a used telehandler?

Yes, DCF can explore finance for used telehandlers purchased by UK limited companies. Lenders consider the machine’s age, hours, condition, value, seller and expected working life, as well as your business. There is no single age limit that applies to every lender or machine.

Can you arrange JCB, Manitou or Merlo telehandler finance?

We can discuss new and used JCB, Manitou, Merlo and other telehandlers. Send the exact model, year, hours and supplier quotation. The finance decision depends on the particular machine and your company; a manufacturer name alone does not determine eligibility.

How much deposit will I need?

The initial payment depends on the asset, agreement, lender and business. VAT can also affect the cash needed at the start. Ask us for a breakdown of the deposit or initial rental, VAT, fees, monthly payments and any final payment before committing to the purchase.

How long can I finance a telehandler for?

The available term depends on lender criteria and the machine’s age, condition and expected working life. Tell us your preferred term and how long you plan to keep the machine. We will explore suitable options and explain the total cost alongside the monthly payment.

Can forks, buckets and other attachments be included?

Potentially. Ask the supplier to itemise each attachment, its price and whether it is new or used. The lender needs to understand the complete equipment package and confirm which items it will fund. Check that any attachments are suitable for the machine and intended work.

Can I use finance to buy a telehandler at auction?

Potentially, but speak to us before bidding. Auction payment deadlines, fees and collection requirements may be difficult to meet without an agreed finance route. An indicative discussion is not a binding approval; check lender conditions and auction terms before making a commitment.

Can a new limited company get telehandler finance?

A new company can be considered, subject to lender approval. Director experience, deposit, business bank statements, contracts or forecasts and the machine itself may be relevant. Personal guarantees may be required. Approval is not guaranteed.

Can I refinance a telehandler I already own?

Asset refinance may be possible depending on ownership, value, condition and any outstanding finance. Send the machine details and any current settlement figure. Refinancing creates a new commitment, so compare the full cost and terms before proceeding.
