The practical answer
Agree the purchasing and finance parties before invoicing. A director and their limited company are separate legal persons.
Tell the supplier who is applying and ask the broker or lender for the correct invoice instructions. In some structures the supplier invoices the finance provider, so a company name on its own may not be sufficient.
If a deposit has already been paid personally, disclose it and retain the receipt. Do not alter invoices or assume a personal purchase can simply be transferred into company finance afterwards.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
