The practical answer
Electric vans may be considered for asset finance, with battery condition, charging arrangements and the delivery duty cycle relevant to the decision.
For a used electric van, ask for battery-health evidence, warranty terms and whether the battery is owned with the vehicle. Tell the lender if a separate battery agreement exists.
Build charging installation, realistic winter range and time off the road into the cash forecast. Do not assume a vehicle finance offer also funds premises work or guarantees the van will suit every route.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
