The practical answer
Payment commencement depends on the agreement and funding arrangements, so confirm the trigger before signing or accepting delivery documents.
Ask whether payments begin on funding, delivery, acceptance or another specified date. Tell the broker if the dealer changes the delivery date, especially where an approval or quote may expire.
Do not certify that a vehicle has arrived or is satisfactory before checking it. Budget for any overlap between existing vehicle costs and the new agreement during the changeover.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
