The practical answer
Some lenders may consider staged payments, but the timetable, protections and conditions must be agreed before the order is placed.
Provide the manufacturer’s proposed deposit, build milestones, shipment payment and final acceptance payment. Identify when title passes, where the equipment is located and what happens if the supplier fails to deliver.
A standard post-delivery facility may not cover money due during construction. Ask which stages are supported and how the business will fund any gap rather than relying on approval of the final asset alone.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
