The practical answer
Cross-border use needs checking against the finance agreement, insurance and operating arrangements before the truck leaves the UK.
Tell the lender which countries are involved, how regularly the truck travels and where it is normally kept. Temporary work abroad and permanently moving the asset overseas may be treated differently.
Ask for any required consent in writing and clarify recovery, insurance and documentation obligations. UK finance approval does not itself authorise every international operation.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
