The practical answer
Possibly. Accounting book value and current market value are different, but the lender must accept the asset and ownership evidence.
Provide the original invoice where available, machine identification, condition, location and any valuation evidence. Explain whether it is free of finance or other claims.
A zero book value does not prove that funding is available, just as a high book value does not guarantee a large advance. The remaining useful life and resale market still matter.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
