The practical answer
Many proposals use fixed schedules, but you should check the actual interest, rental and variation provisions rather than assuming all costs are fixed.
Ask whether repayments can change, which charges sit outside them and whether maintenance, insurance or service packages are separate. Confirm any variable-rate or index-linked element in writing.
Use the whole schedule, including initial and final payments, in cash planning. A fixed finance instalment does not freeze the wider cost of operating the asset.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
