The practical answer
Tell the supplier, customer and broker promptly; a delivery delay can affect both contract performance and funding conditions.
Check revised delivery dates, temporary hire options and any extra costs. Confirm whether the finance approval, quote or supplier deposit remains valid under the new timetable.
Do not sign delivery or acceptance documents for equipment that has not arrived. A finance arrangement cannot itself solve the commercial consequences of missing a customer’s start date.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
