Can a printing business finance digital or wide-format printing equipment?

Printing equipment may be considered, but hardware, software, service charges and consumables should be separated.

The practical answer

Printing equipment may be considered, but hardware, software, service charges and consumables should be separated.

Provide model, year, usage or print count, condition, seller and purchase price. Explain any click-charge contract, mandatory service agreement or software licence needed to use the equipment.

Include realistic maintenance and consumable costs in the forecast. Finance approval over the printer does not mean every continuing service obligation is included in the quoted repayments.

Important

Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.

What should I do next?

Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
