The practical answer
Missing identification can make finance difficult because ownership, provenance and the lender’s security need to be clear.
Ask the supplier for original purchase documents, manufacturer identification records and evidence explaining the missing plate. Disclose the issue before paying a deposit.
Photographs or an advertised model name may not be enough to identify a particular machine. A lender may decline or request further checks; do not replace identification plates or manufacture evidence to complete an application.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
