The practical answer
Potentially, provided the old machine’s ownership, trade-in allowance and any settlement are clear.
Obtain a written part-exchange value and an up-to-date settlement if the machine is financed. Ask how the supplier will show the trade-in and VAT on the final invoice.
Coordinate removal of the old machine with delivery and commissioning of the replacement. If production stops during the swap, include that cash-flow effect when comparing the overall purchase and finance plan.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
