The practical answer
A refurbished forklift may be considered if its identity, condition, price and remaining working life are acceptable.
Ask the supplier what refurbishment actually includes: hours, major repairs, battery condition, testing and warranty. A fresh paint finish alone does not establish mechanical condition.
Provide the itemised quote and supporting records to the lender. Compare a realistic maintenance budget with the lower purchase price and check that the proposed term fits expected remaining use.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
